Channel X-Ray

Free YouTube tools

Single-video utilities, free and without an account. Each one is a slice of the full Channel X-Ray report, which does the same thing across an entire channel.

Which one do you need?

Transcripts and captions

The transcript downloader and caption downloader both save a video's caption track as a timestamped SRT or VTT file for an editor. The transcript generator is the same text aimed at a different job: clean prose you paste into ChatGPT or Claude. Already have a subtitle file in the wrong format? The VTT ↔ SRT converter runs in your browser and never uploads it.

Comments

Export them as CSV or JSON, search inside them instead of scrolling, or draw a giveaway winner from them. Unlike a plain exporter, every comment comes back classified into what the audience is actually asking for — the difference we spell out against ExportComments.

Sizing a channel up

The earnings calculator and engagement rate calculator are for vetting a creator before you pay for a placement — both work on channels you don't own and neither asks for OAuth, which is where vidIQ and TubeBuddy stop. The tag extractor and thumbnail downloader round out a competitor teardown.

One video is free. A whole channel is the report.

These tools each read a single video. The paid Channel X-Ray report reads an entire channel: every video's transcript, every comment classified into what the audience actually asks for, the performance model showing which videos overperform, and CSV/JSON exports of all of it. One report, pay once, no subscription, plus an agent-ready soul pack on the way.
