Channel X-Ray

YouTube Money Calculator

Paste any channel → see its real view counts and what they're plausibly worth in ad revenue. You set the RPM; we show a range, not a fake-precise number. No signup.

Why every YouTube earnings estimate is a guess

Only two of the three numbers are knowable from outside. Views are public and exact. Revenue per thousand views (RPM) is private, and it's the one that decides the answer. It swings by niche (finance and B2B many times over gaming), by audience country, by video length, by how many viewers ran an ad blocker, and by the calendar: advertiser budgets in December are a different world from January. A tool that hands you one confident dollar figure has quietly picked an RPM for you and hidden it.

So this one makes you pick

Choose a preset or type your own RPM, and every figure updates. The range shown alongside each estimate spans half to double your rate, which is roughly how much one channel's own RPM moves across a year before niche is even considered. If you know the channel's category, set the rate to match and the estimate gets meaningfully better.

Ads are the smaller half of the business

For most channels past their first few thousand subscribers, sponsorships, memberships, affiliate links and merch out-earn AdSense — often by a wide margin. So read this as a floor. If you're sizing up a creator for a partnership, the more useful question isn't what they earn from ads, it's whether their audience is actually engaged.

What the numbers don't tell you

View counts describe reach, not demand. If you want to know what that audience actually asks for — the requests, the complaints, the questions nobody answered — a Channel X-Ray report reads and classifies every comment on the channel, alongside a performance model that shows which videos beat their own baseline.

FAQ

How much does YouTube pay per 1,000 views?

That figure is RPM, and it varies enormously: roughly $1 to $8 for most channels, higher in finance, B2B and tech, lower for kids, gaming and non-English audiences. It also moves by season, and Q4 pays far better than January. That's why this tool lets you set the RPM rather than pretending one number fits every channel.

How accurate is this estimate?

It's an order of magnitude, not an income statement. The view counts are real and public; the RPM is your assumption. Nobody outside the channel can see actual RPM, watch time, or what share of views were monetised at all, so we show a range from half to double your chosen rate rather than a single confident number.

Does it include sponsorships and memberships?

No. This estimates ad revenue only. For most established channels, sponsorships, memberships, affiliate links and merch together are worth more than AdSense, so treat this as a floor on total income, not a ceiling.

Can I check a channel that isn't mine?

Yes. Everything here comes from public view counts, so no login or OAuth is involved. That's the point: it works on competitors and on creators you're considering sponsoring.
